This is said to be the first Hindu temple built in Malaysia and the main tower architecture is really unique for any Hindu temple. The temple, as the name suggests, is dedicated to Vinoyagar (Genesha). It is quite small and modest compared to more elaborated decorated Hindu temples that you may have visited elsewhere, and can be quickly visited in just 10-15 minutes, making this a place potentially worth seeing if sightseeing in the Jonker Street area. Although Jonker Street is super busy and noisy, the minute you enter this temple you immediately feel a positive energy being surrounded. The Hindus believe that the elephant god, known as lord Ganesha, is the remover of all obstacles and that is exactly what you feel when you enter this temple: a strong energy within a old architecture. The rituals performed here are very authentic and should be a very good experience for all travelers.

It is said to be the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia and its architecture looks beautiful with the ancient touch. It is not elaborately decorated like other Hindu temples but you get a nice feeling. Its distinction from Chinese architecture and Buddhist rites acts as pinch of salt.
